Henry County, located in the great state of Missouri, was officially organized on December 13, 1834. It was named in honor of the prominent American statesman and orator, Patrick Henry. The county is situated in the west-central part of the state and covers an area of approximately 702 square miles. Its county seat is the quaint town of Clinton, which was established back in 1836.

Settlers were attracted to the fertile and well-watered lands of Henry County, making agriculture a key foundation for its economy even to this day. Major crops grown in the region include corn, soybeans, and wheat. Livestock farming, especially cattle, also contributes significantly to the county's economic prosperity.

One fun fact about this region is that it is home to the Truman Lake, the largest flood control lake in Missouri. Created in 1979 with the completion of the Harry S. Truman Dam, the lake spans over 55,000 acres and offers an impressive variety of recreational activities, such as fishing, boating, and camping, making it a popular destination for both residents and tourists alike.
