.Guilford County, located in the great state of North Carolina, was established on April 1, 1771. Named after Francis North, who was the 1st Earl of Guilford and a British politician, the county played a significant role in the history of the United States. During the Revolutionary War, a crucial moment occurred in this region - the Battle of Guilford Courthouse.
