Yukon-Koyukuk Borough is located in the central region of Alaska and is the largest borough in the state. It covers 44,743 square miles and is home to approximately 6,100 people, making it one of the least populous counties in the United States. The majority of residents are Alaska Native or American Indian (58%), with the remaining population being White (37%) and Hispanic (3%).
