Ohio County is located in the southwest corner of Indiana and is part of the Evansville metropolitan statistical area. As of the 2010 census, Ohio County had a population of 28,904 with an estimated population of 28,637 in 2019. It has a total area of 438 square miles, with the majority (80%) being land and the remaining 20% being water.
