Chase, an influential US statesman, abolitionist, and the sixth Chief Justice of the United States, the county has a rich history. The county seat and the largest city in Chase County is Cottonwood Falls.

Chase County is situated in the Flint Hills, a region known for its stunning tallgrass prairies, making it a picturesque destination for locals and visitors alike.
