Concordia Parish is located in northeast Louisiana and is part of the Natchez, MS/LA Micropolitan Statistical Area. According to the 2010 Census, the population of Concordia Parish was 20,822. The racial makeup of the parish is 60.2% African American, 37.2% White, 0.3% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.7% from other races, and 1.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.1% of the population.

The median income for a household in Concordia Parish was $30,835 in 2017, and the median income for a family was $40,539. About 29.5% of families and 36.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 48.2% of those under age 18 and 25.4% of those age 65 or over.
