Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) is a United States Army facility located in Harford County, Maryland. Established in 1917, it is the oldest active proving ground in the United States. The facility spans approximately 76,000 acres and is home to over 21,000 military, civilian, and contractor personnel.

APG is a multi-mission installation that supports the testing and evaluation of military technologies, as well as research and development across a range of disciplines. It is home to the Army Research Laboratory, the Communications-Electronics Command, and several other high-tech research and development organizations.

The village of Aberdeen Proving Ground is located within the installation and is home to many military families as well as civilian personnel who work at the installation. It is a small community with its own schools, shopping centers, and recreational facilities. Because it is located on a military installation, access to the village is restricted and requires proper identification and clearance.
