Big Stone County is located in west central Minnesota, on the South Dakota border. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, Big Stone County had a total population of 5,269. The racial makeup of the county was 95.9% White, 0.6% African American, 0.4% Native American, 1.4% Asian, 0.7% from other races, and 1.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.7% of the population.
