Kenosha County is located in the southeastern region of the great state of Wisconsin along the shores of Lake Michigan. This county has a rich and diverse history, with the earliest inhabitants being Native American tribes, including the Potawatomi people. Established in 1850, Kenosha was originally part of Racine County but became its own separate entity as its population grew.

The arrival of European settlers in the early 19th century led to rapid growth in the area. Industrial development also played a vital role in Kenosha County's progression as it became an important center for manufacturing and transportation, especially after the arrival of the railroad in the mid-1800s. Kenosha was a major hub for the production of automobiles in the 20th century, with companies such as Jeffery, Nash, and American Motors having a strong presence in the county.

An interesting fun fact about Kenosha County is that it is home to the nation's first functioning electrified streetcar system, which dates back to 1903. This system is now a tourist attraction, and visitors can ride vintage streetcars as they travel through Kenosha's historic districts.
