Licensed in 1983, I have been a full-time REALTOR while raising a family, attending sports events, volunteering at my children''s schools and volunteering with many community organizations. Those include the Newport News Education Foundation since 1998 and serving as a member and chair of the Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority for eight years. At the local REALTOR association level I served on the BOD for 13 years going through the chairs and serving as President. I have served on the Virginia Association BOD and the Policy Board as well as serving on NAR''s Education Committee for a number of years. VAR honored me with the Salesperson of the Year award in 1998 and 2002. At my local association I have received the REALTOR of the Year two times, Salesperson of the Year, Code of Ethics award and sales awards including the Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire for longevity.With RE/MAX since 1992, I am a recipient of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement awards.Never resting on past experience or past education, I continue to attend and learn new ways of assisting my clients to accomplish their goals. Currently I serve as a member of the Virginia Real Estate Board having been appointment by the Governor in July 2012.
