I began the home buying process with a lot of trepidation and ignorance. As a military spouse, I was well versed in renting apartments and properties, but honestly thought owning a house was out of my reach. After asking around, I was put into contact with Janice. If you read no further, just read this: Janice is amazing at her job and will do everything in her power (and then some) to get you into the house of your dreams. n nInitially, Janice set aside some time to talk with me about the home buying process. (This was even before I had settled on her as my realtor.) I arrived at her office armed with questions I had googled and a rambunctious two year old and left with a stack of info Janice provided (and walked me through), plenty of names and numbers to help me connect loan officers, inspectors, and insurance companies, and a bright red balloon for my toddler. The following day, I called one of the loan officers she recommended, only to find she had already called to give him a heads up. This was how my entire home buying process went...she was always a step ahead of me. And knowing she had plans for all the different scenarios made me feel so comfortable and at ease. n nPre-approval was a breeze and from there, we started the house hunt. This part was a lot of fun. Seeing houses with Janice was like seeing houses with a best friend. She offered advice, posed questions for me to consider...she dug deep to figure out what I was really wanting. n nAnd then she found it - the most amazing house in the perfect location and negotiated a stellar contract (one that had me bringing no money to closing - Yay!). Through the underwriting process, she balanced a lot of moving parts, navigating paperwork between my loan officer, the construction company, the lawyers, and everybody in between. By the time it was all said and done, she got me into the house several weeks earlier than initially agreed upon, papers were signed, and I had a home. n nJanice is quite simply amazing.
