All well-deserved good reviews about Chuck and needless to say that my experience was the same. He listened carefully to my needs and did not push me in a neighborhood that was his specialty. I saw him on a Thursday evening, fell in love with a home on Saturday and purchased it too. There was however a big hurdle in the process that we had to jump over. At the time of my preapproval, my credit score was 740 but due to an unpaid medical bill that I was not aware of and had gone to collection that showed on my report 10 days prior to closing and tanked my score to 630. The whole deal was at the cusp of falling apart. And that was when we were able to leverage his expertise. He advised us to talk to a different lender (which worked out) plus used his position and connection with the other party's selling agent to persuade them to push the closing another month. Without this step I would have lost the home that I had my heart set on. And I am grateful to have worked with him on this. I can't say enough good things about Chuck Eckberg. In my case, I met him a few years ago at an open house. I wasn't ready to buy at that point, but, he remembered me and my needs a few years later when I contacted him to finally get a home. It was tough to look at homes during the pandemic, but Chuck made sure we got into every house that looked like a good fit. His vast knowledge of the market, right down to the neighborhood, helped us winnow out homes that seemed to be a great "bargain." In every case, when I drove past the house, he had been spot on about a neighborhood not fitting our needs. He is astute about the condition of a house and the cost of needed repairs/upgrades so he is a great partner in determining whether a house is a good fit and is priced well. He has a great network of professionals that are as responsive as he is. In our case, we had six days to complete all three inspections, two tests, and two estimates for work to be done.
