I have worked with several realtors over the years. Denise is, by far, the most dedicated, knowledgeable of them all. Her people skills are second to none. I cannot say enough good things about her. I do have one suggestion. She needs to try to take a little more time for herself! 2019
Dear Denise: Thank you for the successful sale of our Mexico Gravel property. While this was one of the most well-built custom homes we have owned, it was also the most challenging property we have ever sold. When Pat was in consulting engineering, we sold a house about every three years and most were sold within a couple of weeks. The Mexico Gravel house, being more unique, required some extra effort to find the right buyer. Although we started this process overly optimistic, you and David were able to realistically express the steps we would need to take as sellers to achieve a successful sale. Your real estate knowledge and experience, along with Davids guidance in our renovation efforts, were extremely helpful. Your professionalism met our high expectations and we were pleased with almost every aspect of this process. In addition, we were also pleased that a nice young family will appreciate owning this home. We were impressed with how well this transaction went with a minimum amount of conflict. Since we did have to accomplish installation of the sewer updates after closing, there was potential for concern. The smoothness of this transactions seems to be a direct result of your innate ability to communicate well with all concerned parties. I interviewed a few realtors before selecting Denise. Out of the group, I liked her the best, liked the way she was matter of fact about issues concerning my house, and my overall impression was that this person absolutely knew how to sell houses. When we discussed the value of my home, she presented the same "comparables" as the other agents, plus some additional ones that she could envision as being similar where the others had not. Denise valued my house substantially higher than the other agents. I was never absolutely onboard with that but chose her anyway. I simply told her she was in charge pricing. She told me things to do to make my house more presentable/desireable. I did the best I could to meet those suggestions. All remarks about my home and the work I had done were always 100% positive. There were several issues for which I needed the services of contractors. Denise always had people in mind, they responded promptly. Especially with contractors she had used regularly with other clients, they were excellent choices. Since I had already moved from Columbia, initially Denise scheduled a time where I could meet with her and the contractors all at one time. Later on as other issues appeared, if I felt I couldn't be available she made it clear she could be if needed. Since I had already moved, I only had so much furniture I felt I could leave as staging in the house. Denise provided additional furniture for that purpose, no charge. At the end of the process, my house sold for substantially more than I expected and substantially more than any other real estate agent I had talked to thought it would/should. In regard to every step of the entire process, there would be no question in my mind that I had made the best possible choice of an agent in picking Denise. 2018

Denise was always willing to go the extra mile for me. I could only be in Columbia on certain days which were usually weekends as I lived in Iowa while we were looking. She worked weekends, late at night and was so accommodating. What I also appreciated is I noticed Denise was protective and I always felt she had my back and my best interests in mind rather than just making a deal. In fact, the first time we met to look at homes, she started making mental notes to learn as much as she could about me. The process was long and challenging because of what I was looking for, but Denise helped me through it with ease. She could answer questions and made me feel at ease. Buying a home as a 65-year-old single semi-retired woman who was moving several states away was a huge challenge and Denise made the whole process run smoothly for me. When we finally found the right home, Denise felt like family. She is excellent at building relationships with people and genuinely cares. Denise demonstrates that caring attitude in all aspects of her work. She knows the area quite well and understands the market.
