After the passing of my stepmother, I was left with getting the house ready to go on the market. Chris was so good in encouragement and suggestions. He was a rock; someone I could call and get answers if needed. He went out of his way to take a huge load to the dump, in his truck, as I had no way of hauling all that stuff. He volunteered to do this and with a cheerful heart, he helped me load his truck with so much "stuff". Then would not tell me what it cost. What a gentleman.
It was a hard time for me, as I was alone in making decisions. My stepmother had a close friend who always came when she called for help, and he was re-starting his life with his daughter. So that part was great for me as he needed furniture and stuff that came with a home, so he took all of that. The rest I took to Goodwill. Then down to cleaning. Chris and I went around the house inspecting what I need to do or take care of later. So, he gave me a good idea on what I was in for. No surprises.
