Had the absolutely worst experience with the sellers agent Tom. He was completely uncooperative, refused to tell us what the other offers were when we tried to counter and refused to answer our messages. We countered 3 times going higher everytime. We ended up offering only $10k below asking and he hung up the phone on us and refused to answer. That house had been for sale for over a month and was aggressively decreasing the price. We wish there had been better communication. You would think he would want to create competition between buyers to increase his own pay but I guess not. He was incredibly rude. We will never go with this group again. 2023
We saw two homes, one of which we absolutely loved, and they gave bizarre reasons for not purchasing them. They wouldn't buy one home because there was a shed in the backyard that had a few glass panels claiming it was 'dangerous'. The other we were denied because it had a gas stove. Ridiculous excuses to hinder people who cannot afford to buy from finding a home, and bleeding them dry of their money. I would not recommend them or work with them ever. They do not have your best interest in mind and do not wish to help. 2022
Don't use RE MAX 440 if you want to sell you property! They will try to offer you house with low value so they can sell it fast and fill their quota. they tried to make me sell my house less than market value just to sell it fast. they don't care about their customer and they don't want to put any effort to sell your house. 2022
We would not recommend working with this agency. Youll get inexperienced realtors that only care about their commission and will not act in their fiduciary duty. They don't listen to their clients; cost us $8k. Refused to take any responsibility or compensate out of their end. My husband and I did not have a good experience with our realtor, Thomas. At the end of selling our home we felt somewhat pressured into the situation, furthermore Thomas had recommended we add a clause to our contract for permitted plans, except that he really didnt understand in the end how to enforce it, and finally, after the sale closed, we didnt hear anything from him. Tom and his team were AMAZING! My husband and I knew that buying a home would be difficult in the current real estate climate. A listing would appear on a website one day, and it was literally pending the next. I watched the websites intently and if we were interested, we called Tom and his team and they got us in ASAP.We placed a few offers on a couple of properties, but alas, with the interest rates being so low, us requiring a full sellers assist to cover closing costs, and so many buyers approved for a mortgage, we knew we may not be able to compete. This is why having Tom on our side was crucial!
On the 3rd home we put an offer on, we were the first to see it, but again shot down. Ouroffer was too low, our seller's assist was too high, and they had received another offer right after ours that the seller was going to accept. Tom knew how devastated we would be if we lost this perfect move-in ready home and DID NOT take no for an answer. After speaking with the sellers agent on our behalf to give us a crack at a counter, he came up with some creative solutions to make it happen, and the sellers finally accepted our offer!
I already thought Tom was the best out there, but now we know for sure! We could not have been happier with our decision to choose Tom as our Realtor, and thank him from the bottom of our hearts for going to bat for us, going above and beyond, and making our dreams a reality!
