AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Jim and Eva Gallagher were acting as the selling agents of a lot my family and I wanted to buy to build our new home. We made an offer on the lot 2 days after it was listed and were told no other offers have been made. The property was randomly withdrawn the following day. Then we went back and said we would pay asking price if they were still willing to sell and to let us know if anything changes. A week later, Eva Gallagher reached back out to OUR REALTOR and asked if we still wanted it for asking price. If we did, they would sign the offer asap and get the deal done. It was also said that the listing would not go back to active status and that the lot was ours. We promptly sent over the updated offer within 2 hours of that phone call, after a verbal agreement that it was ours for asking price and they wanted to wrap it up ASAP. Then heard nothing for 2 days, and when we did hear back, had to change information about a down payment twice (circling back to the SAME pre-approval letter that was originally requested 2 days prior- also which doesnt make a difference because we were approved anyways). It was clear they were up to something as they were dragging their feet and holding off. All the while, as soon as we promptly kept changing forms as requested (2 days of this back and forth and hard to get in contact with), the listing goes active again and Eva contacted our realtor stating that another offer had come in, after being told that wouldnt happen. We had a few hours to make any changes to our offer and we even went $10k over asking price. That following day our realtor got nothing but a text message saying the sellers went with the other offer. It has been 3 days and they still havent returned any calls to our realtor with further information. Due to their unethical practices and back and forth games, we missed out on a good opportunity for our family and it was discouraging. I have also found a review of them that is almost EXACTLY the same scenario as what happened to us. Beware and try to avoid.
