In his spare time, you will find Al and his family actively engaged in activities at Central United Methodist Church of Fitzgerald where Al is a Trustee, member of the United Methodist Men and sings in the choir. You will also find him and his family involved with the Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County Arts Council and the Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County Chamber of Commerce as community volunteers. Al has served as Chairman of the Ben Hill County Board of Education and Chairman of the Fitzgerald Historic Preservation Commission. Al is married to JoAnna Troupe Johnson and together they have two sons, Austin, 21 and Oliver, 8.
