Living in Clarinda, Iowa has many advantages. It is a small, tight-knit community with a population of just over 5,000, so it is easy to get to know your neighbors and feel like part of the community. The one unappealing thing about living in Clarinda is that it can be quite isolated from the rest of the state. While it is close to Omaha, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa, there are few other nearby cities so it can be difficult to access larger cities or attractions without driving long distances.
