Marcellus first discovered his love of real estate while attending Ithaca College and working as an intern with the real estate law firm of ADAMS, THEISEN, & MAY, LLP. While he began his professional career with the NBAs Boston Celtics working in Community Relations/Player development, he continued to pursue his real estate education, obtaining his Massachusetts Appraisal Trainee License and his Massachusetts Real Estate License. In the years since, he has continued to pursue his knowledge in real estate by becoming a CCIM Candidate, and completing an extensive Leasing Brokerage internship at Jones Lang LaSalle.
In having the belief that his continued education is a major resource/ value ad to his clients and profession; Marcellus has recently become a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Candidate and has also received his International Real Estate Specialist (I.R.E.S.) designation. The International Real Estate Specialist Designation provides the knowledge and resources needed in order to best serve his clients abroad.
A major part of Marcellus career with the NBAs Boston Celtics basketball organization, was working directly with High Profile players and other High Profile individuals. This experience has given Marcellus first hand awareness on the importance of service, loyalty, discretion, integrity and forthrightness. These are the tools that distinguish him from his peers. The objectives and goals of his clients are reached on this foundation.
Marcellus constantly analyzes the pulse of the local real estate market, by monitoring listings of residential, luxury real estate sales, expired listings along with attending Broker Opens, and Broker Tours. Other resources Marcellus uses to evaluate Market trends is regular received industry updates from fellow industry associates such as The National Association of Realtors (NAR), The Greater Portland Board of Realtors (GPBR), Appraisal companies, Mortgage Companies, Financial Specialists, along with weekly Newsletters and Industry Reports. Marcellus also attends weekly Broker meetings and Training Sessions.
