Broker/owner of Two Rivers Realty is Margaret Deavours, a native of Laurel, MS. She holds a B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi and following a successful career of over 15 years in the field of education and recreation for persons with disabilities, she relocated from Georgia back to Mississippi to be closer to family. For 2 1/2 years, Margaret worked in the corporate world as an outside sales representative selling technology hardware. She obtained her real estate license in June of 2003 and by December of that year was already a top producing agent at Coldwell Banker Graham & Assoc. She consistently performed in the top 20% of Coldwell Banker agents internationally. Margaret has developed her business by focusing on exemplary customer service and as a result over 90% of her business is repeat customers or referrals. In October of 2012, Margaret opened her own real estate company, Two Rivers Realty. This company will focus on giving sellers options for how to market their home, not just strictly a commission based model. These pay-as-you-go options will give sellers a choice in how to list their home in a full-service model and still have an opportunity to save money without sacrificing marketing and exposure. Two Rivers is also committed to excellence in buyer representation. The real estate industry has gone through significant change in recent years. It is important that buyers have an expert to help them navigate the process. Margaret has an ongoing committment to continuing education in our industry. Margaret holds the CRS and the ABR designations. These REALTOR designations intend to help the consumer by providing highly trained members who are more knowledgeable of the industry and are committed to a higher level of service. REALTORs who receive the CRS Designation have completed advanced real estate courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 39,000 REALTORs nationwide have earned the credential. Every CRS designee is required to maintain membership in the National Association of Realtors and to abide by its strict Code of Ethics. The training available to CRS designees includes a strong focus on technology and its applications in the real estate business. Less than 4 percent of all licensed Realtors are Certified Residential Specialists. The Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria. Buying a home is no small matter. Besides being the largest financial transaction you may ever undertake, it's probably also the most complex. There are many good reasons to work with a qualified real estate professional; especially a trained professional who has earned the ABR designation, representing best-in-class buyer services. Margaret believes in having a balanced life and enjoys swimming, running and biking, walking her dogs, entertaining and socializing with friends. She enjoys giving back to the community and volunteers in various capacities, primarily through her involvement at St. James Episcopal Church in Jackson.

MARGARET specializes in farms & land, golf, historic, in-town, medical, retirement, waterfront and first time buyers transactions.
