Michael was born in Japan and has lived in Cashiers, North Carolina for most of his life, when he was not living in Detroit, Washington, DC, or Glasgow, Scotland. Having Cashiers, as not only his home, but hometown, gives Michael a deep-seated love and knowledge of the area

As the son of Betsy Paul, Michael grew up in Cashiers real estate offices. As such, his knowledge of the real estate market is native and beyond his years. This coupled with his genuine care makes him a boon to his clients.

Now at Betsy Paul Properties, Michael works to help his clients both to buy and sell real estate in Cashiers, NC and the surrounding areas of Lake Glenville, Sapphire Valley, Highlands, and Cullowhee Michael specializes in unique mountain acreage and classic mountain vacation homes.

Michael is currently severing as a Director of the Highlands Cashiers Board of Realtors, and as a Member of the Cashiers Planning Council.

Prior to becoming a broker associate with Betsy Paul Properties (BPP), Michael worked as a real estate agent in Richmond, Virginia, so he brings the up-to-date methods and hard work of a full-time metropolitan agent to his trade.
