I moved with my husband (Allen) and son (Jack) to Fayetteville in August of 2000. Allen is a native of Fayetteville and Jack graduated from Terry Sanford High School as a 3rd generation legacy in 2014. I loved Fayetteville before moving here and love it more now. From being able to do business with local companies who care about their neighbors, to running in races with others from all across the country (because we have a great running community here), to enjoying the events and shows held Downtown at Festival Park, Cape Fear Botanical Gardens and the Cape Fear Regional Theatre, to shopping the big name stores and local boutiques, we do have it all.
In the Spring of 2005, I decided (with the gentle urging of my husband) to start my real estate career. My previous work life in Raleigh was as an IT Recruiter and prior to that, Store Manager for Petite Sophisticate. Ive always enjoyed working with people and making connections perfect wardrobe for an upcoming event or trip; perfect job for the perfect consultant, etc. The move to real estate made sense. It was at that time, I was led, by my Sunday School Teacher, to Townsend Real Estate. Working with a local, independent firm is so ideal! We are not tied to mandates or restrictions handed down by a corporation located in an area that has no knowledge of our market. At the same time, we (Townsend) are connected with an elite group of other independent firms, globally, who also value the uniqueness of their areas. With this network, we are able to confidently refer our clients, who must leave the area, to other real estate professionals with the same goal connecting our clients to their best next chapter.
Though real estate has changed over the years, and will continue to do so, my commitment has stayed the same: I am here to provide excellent customer service through my knowledge of the business and the communities I have chosen to represent and by remembering, always, I am here to serve my clients.
Going through the real estate process, whether buying or selling, has several boxes to check and sometimes hurdles to jump. I am here to remove as much of those items from your to do list as possible. There are enough things pulling your attention: If buying, you are having to pack up your home where you are currently, providing documents to the lender (which I have great local lenders who do an awesome job taking care of my clients) and deciding what are the most important characteristics of your new home/neighborhood; if selling, you have many similar items but also, making sure your home is show ready each time you walk out the door. Once we are under contract, I am there to guide you through the next step and the next with the knowledge and professional connections and reputation to move things along to settlement and closing, with low to no stress.
I love this career I was guided to! I have been blessed with wonderful friends and family as clients and clients who become friends. I would enjoy the opportunity to be of service to you and would consider it a privilege to do so.
