Burwell, Nebraska is a small town located in the central part of the state. It has a population of around 1,200 people and is the county seat of Garfield County. The town was founded in 1887 and named after a Colonel Burwell, who was an early settler in the area. Burwell is known for its annual rodeo, which attracts visitors from all over the region.
