Read on!

Grand Ronde is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in Polk County, Oregon, United States. It is home to the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, which includes over 30 Native American tribes. The tribe has a casino, hotel, and golf course which provides many jobs for the local community.

Historically, Grand Ronde was the site of the original reservation for the tribes in Western Oregon, established by Presidential Executive Order in 1857. The reservation was terminated by an act of Congress in 1954, which caused great upheaval and hardship for the tribes. However, in 1983, the fortitude of the people of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon was recognized, and the tribe regained federal recognition. Today, the area is a thriving cultural center for the tribes, and many tribal members continue to live and work in the Grand Ronde area.

In addition to its cultural history, Grand Ronde is also known for its natural beauty. With its location in the heart of Oregon's wine country, the area boasts rolling hills and lush vineyards. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping in nearby state parks, including the popular Willamette Mission State Park.
