As a child growing up in the Rio Grande Valley, that first summer day after school let out was always one of the best of the year for June Olson. She would bask in the luxury of sleeping in, rising at 10 am to a day filled with endless possibilities. After breakfast, June would pay a visit to her grandparents farm, performing a few chores until the hot sun had risen high in the sky. Then shed hop onto her grandfathers horse and ride out to meet her friends. Together, they leisurely explored the fields and roads, enjoying the still and peaceful summer air and the clopping rhythm of the horses hooves. When the sun hung low in the sky again, June and her friends would return home, blissful in the knowledge that the days ahead would be equally relaxing and serene.
A Certain Spirit
Considering her name, its no surprise how much June relished those lazy summer days of her Edinburg childhood. Surrounded by the love of her large extended family and friends, she felt the security and well-being that only a small town can provide. But for this native daughter, the upper Rio Grande Valley is much more than a home. Its also a certain spirit, one unique to this special locale. Thats why June made the choice to return when her children came along. She wanted them to enjoy the same spirit of warmth and intimacy that she had. Ever since then, June has made it her goal to help others discover the Rio Grande spiritfor themselves and their families.
Deep Roots
June has deep roots in the Rio Grande Valley. The youngest of her parents seven lively children, she grew up on Rogers Road in Edinburg, the very street named after her great-grandparents, who were among the areas earliest settlers. After earning her BBA from Texas A&M (shes a loyal Aggie), June embarked on a successful career in resort sales, marketing and property management that took her to the most beautiful areas of the Southwest from Flagstaff, Arizona to Red River and Angel Fire,
New Mexico. She served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Flagstaff Hilton Garden Inn, and as Regional Marketing Director for Grand Canyon Airlines, where she had the opportunity to meet and work with people from all over the world. June loved every minute, but she always knew she would return to the area she called home.

Ever since June returned to the upper Rio Grande, she has helped others experience the spirit of this wonderful area through her work as a real estate professional.
