Mary Jane Schwarz celebrates 32 years in the real estate business, having been licensed in the State of Texas since 1984. She has life-long knowledge of McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley.She received a BBA in 1981 from The University of Texas at Austin and started her business career in the commercial banking industry. In 1985, she joined her husband, Butch, in their real estate company.Since 1990, Mary Jane has consistently been a top producer. She is honored with the endorsement of Dave Ramsey, as the Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) for Real Estate in the Rio Grande Valley. In 1995, she earned the Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) designation.In 1997, the Real Estate Sales Council of the Realtors National Marketing Institute, a National Association of Realtors affiliate, designated Mary Jane as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), an elite level that only 5% of Realtors in the United States have worked to achieved. To earn the Certified Residential Specialist Designation, every Realtor must have a significant mix of experience and volume of real estate transactions. Every CRS is required to maintain membership in the National Association of Realtors and abide by its strict Code of Ethics. That same year, she joined the Council of Residential Specialists and the Employers Relocation Council (ERC).She is a member of the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors, the Greater McAllen, Harlingen & Brownsville Multiple Listing Services, Residential Sales Council, Employers Relocation Council, Texas and National Associations of Realtors.With a sincere love for her business and clientele, Mary Jane finds great reward in plugging people in to the community. She has a passion for voluntarism and served as 1999-2000 President of the Junior League of McAllen, Inc., the organization that created and built RioScape, a Discovery Park, on the grounds of the McAllen International Museum with a legion of 4,000 volunteers. This park has received recognition from BMW Corporation and the Association of Junior Leagues International for its impact on the community. Acknowledging her dependence on God, she is an active member of the First Baptist Church of McAllen.
