Keith has also worked in very competitive real estate markets, such as Orlando Florida, where he sold a remarkable amount of new single family homes per year, for Ryland Homes before moving his family to Texas.

Possum Kingdom Lake has provided a healthy and productive environment for the Hanssen's. They say, "something is in the water out here," because Keith increased his herd by two more kids for a total of three. Keith and his wife Vee work together in the real estate business. They originally lived on Possum Kingdom Lake's Westside. They moved to the Eastside when Keith began to work with the developer of "The Ranch on Possum Kingdom" in the mid 90's. Keith had the difficult task of procuring lot reservations and subsequently sold the initial lots in a luxury development that many thought would never succeed.
