A life long resident of Hampton Roads, I am the proud daughter of a Navy Master Chief, who declared Virginia Beach as "home", following my family's transfer to the area in 1964. Having grown up in the Pembroke area of Virginia Beach, I have a strong sense of the history of our region. I have witnessed the developmental changes as our area transformed from a rural farming and beach community to one of the strongest economic regions in the state of Virginia, our nation and the world. I delight in the diversity of our residents, as well as the vast opportunities to experience a variety of cultural activities: the arts, music, dining, nature, history and education. I have always proclaimed, if one is bored in Hampton Roads, it is their own fault, for there is SO much to experience and from which to learn! Our area has an amazing "vibe"; friendly people and a strong sense of solidarity abound!
Me? I am a country girl at heart... I thrive on spending time in the great outdoors, everywhere from the Chesapeake Bay and the Outer Banks to the Blue Ridge Mountains. I love the heartbeat of the city, but I'm drawn to the quiet, simplicity of country living. Horses are a passion, as is surf casting from the shores of our beautiful beaches. Music is another high priority in my personal life; many local and national acts will find me in their audience, enthralled by their presence. Having worked as a graphic artist for 15 years, following high school, I have a strong affinity for art of all forms. Thankfully, our area is a catalyst for creativity!
For twenty-three years I have been a full time real estate agent in Hampton Roads. When I obtained my license in 1993, I had no idea of the impact my career would have on my life, as well as the lives of others. Altruism and integrity have been the hallmarks of my business model. My clients describe me as passionate and fun, but also knowledgeable and hard working. "No problems, just solutions" is one of my favorite quotes and I believe that to be true. My experience with all facets of real estate is extensive: with everything from land to luxury homes, from condos to country estates, I have been blessed with the opportunity to help others realize their goals and dreams.
My motto, "Home is where we tie one end of the thread of life" is my credence. We all need the security of home, that familiar place where we can truly be ourselves. All of life begins and ends at home, from the time we are tiny babies until we are wizened sages... and every stage in between. For me, homes are like treasure boxes, where we welcome and protect our most precious things: our family, our friends, our children and pets, a treasure box filled memories and souvenirs of a life well lived.
