Marsha moved to the High Country in 1979 to attend Appalachian State University. She earned her Biology Naturalist degree which was a reflection of her love of nature and the beauty that surrounds us all while we are in the mountains. For almost 30 years she worked as a artist creating metal wildflowers, that were botanically correct of course, and sold them at the many craft shows and galleries in our area. In 2004, she and Alison Phillips decided to get their Real Estate licenses and started The Summit Group of the Carolinas. Located in the center of Banner Elk, NC the company has been very successful and has a great reputation with Buyers and Sellers.
Marsha is married to David McManus who owns a landscaping company, McManus Farms and Landscaping. He has owned and run his company since 1985.
