Moses Lake is a city located in Grant County, Washington. The city was originally known as Neppel, named after an early settler and postmaster. It was renamed Moses Lake in 1938 in honor of the nearby Moses Lake which had been named by local Native Americans after Chief Moses of the Sinkiuse-Columbia tribe.
Moses Lake is home to 8,366 people (as of 2019) and is located in Central Washington, just off Interstate 90. It is a major hub for agricultural production and is known for its many outdoor recreational opportunities.
