A fun and verifiable fact about Green Bay, Wisconsin is that it is the smallest city in the United States to host a professional sports team, the Green Bay Packers. An historical event that took place around the city was the signing of the Treaty of 1817 which ceded most of the land from the Ojibwe tribe to the United States government. This event was significant as it led to much of the development of the area and ultimately the founding of Green Bay.
