Marika Alexis Clark has developed her passion for real estate and construction over many years. As part owner of a construction company, she acquired extensive experience in new construction and home renovation and has privately built, renovated and sold multiple properties. She has also worked as a real estate scout and construction manager for a Fortune 500 member with investment interests in estates along the Eastern Seaboard, was part of start-up management team for Maines esteemed Pineland Farms project and has advised and assisted with multiple other organizational start-ups. Her strong communication skills, keen understanding of buyer and seller needs, extensive knowledge of the coast of Maine and surrounding islands, as well as being an accomplished horsewoman, Marika brings a unique perspective to the Sothebys real estate team. Her sense of integrity, good nature, drive and enthusiasm make it clear that she genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her clients and makes their real estate interests a top priority. Marika is also an accomplished animal welfare advocate who has worked on a local, state, national and international level in program development to advance the protection of domestic and wild horses. She still volunteers her services to better the lives of wild horses on tribal nations in the Western States. She currently sits on the board of the Equine Welfare Society of America and volunteers for the Native America Humane Society. In addition to her love of animals, she is an avid lover of the arts and currently is an acting member of the Steering Committee for the Director Circle at the Portland Museum of Art. Marika was born and raised on the coast of Maine, affording her the opportunity to explore all that Maine has to offer, summers on the water, hiking, riding horses and in the Winter, skiing Maines many trails. After spending some of her adult life living in different parts of the country, she returned to Maine to the life she loves most living at a classic 1800s farm that she has lovingly restored near the coast of Maine with her beloved horses, dogs and cat. In addition to her passion for real estate, she is an avid tennis player, boater, horsewoman, gardener and animal lover/caregiver.
