The Midwest was my home for the first 22 years of my life. I was born and raised in Denver, Iowa and attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where I studied business management with a specialization in marketing and played four years of college basketball, serving as team captain my senior year. My family began vacationing in Santa Rosa Beach in the early 2000s, and we even considered moving here in 2004. During that time I attended Van Butler Elementary on 30a while my family lived here for one winter, seeing if South Walton was the place for us. Despite deciding not to move, we all kept the area close to our hearts. As my time in college came to a close I decided to leave Iowa and begin my professional career along the most beautiful beaches in the world.
