It has been said that Jason never meets a stranger and he brings with his real estate practice a thirst to meet people from all walks of life. Originally from Birmingham, AL, his southern roots and outgoing nature are no doubt part of the reason he's always been gifted at making connections with others. Working with buyers and sellers, Jason delivers excellent service and is in tune with both the business and emotional side of a transaction - helping his customers balance these dual aspects to reach their goals. Following a very rewarding career in education, Jason fulfilled his lifelong dream to be a Realtor in 2013. A Broker Associate with RealtySouth in Alabama, Jason's passion for the industry prompted him to continue his career further, as a licensed Realtor in Florida. With a home in downtown Sarasota, Jason loves being part of the city's energy and sharing all the incredible attributes of SRQ with those who want to live here. Beyond real estate, Jason has always been pulled to the field of education where he was the Director of the Independent Presbyterian Church Day School in Birmingham for 17 years. Under his leadership, the school expanded its curriculum, programming, policies, and budget extensively. He was also instrumental in establishing the HERO Scholarship program and Endowment Fund benefiting children of families with limited resources. Jason helped raise more than $1 million in donations and was the recipient of the HERO Award (providing Hope, Excellence, Reliability, and Opportunity for children) recognized by Child Care Resources of Jefferson County. Jason has a Bachelor of Science, Early and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In his spare time, Jason loves to travel, giving back to the community, and he currently holds a position as organist/choirmaster for a local church in Bradenton. Jason also enjoys spending time with his two four-legged children, a Golden Doodle and Schnauzer.
