Peter Wiley cofounded Wiley Real Estate in 2016, a firm specializing in high-end residential and farm properties in Charlottesville and Central Virginia. Wiley Real Estates continuing goal is to provide clients with a superior level of personalized service unparalleled in the region.
Peter is a native of Central Virginia. He grew up on a working horse farm outside of Charlottesville, Virginia where he learned a great deal about land, farming and horses from his father, U.S. Olympic rider, farmer and Realtor, Hugh Wiley. Peter started his real estate career in 2005 and has been very active in the brokerage of residential properties, farms, estates and historic properties in the Central Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley and the Tidewater area ever since.
Peter earned a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the College of Charleston, S.C. and a Masters of International Business from the University of South Carolina. He is proficient in Spanish. He and his family live on a small farm outside of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, Peter served as a Congressional staffer for a Member of Congress and more recently as a lobbyist for the Venture Capital and Biotechnology industries in Boston, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. before returning to Virginia to work with his family in the brokerage of farms and estates.
Peter serves on the Board of Charlottesville Day School, the Albemarle County Board of Equalization and the Albemarle County Historic Preservation Committee.
