Caroline is a native Houstonian. She graduated from Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC, with a degree in human development, specializing in childhood education. A real estate professional since 1990, she was a top producer in Houston with the Sotheby's International Realty affiliate John Daugherty Realtors, and had her own real estate company in Galveston, Texas, before coming to Santa Fe. She holds her real estate broker's license in both Texas and New Mexico. Caroline earned her CRS (Council of Residential Specialists) designation in 2005 and has been a member since. She served on the Santa Fe Association of Realtors Board of Directors from 2007 to 2009, Community Services Committee in 2008, Nominating Committee in 2010, RPAC Committee in 2010, RPAC Chair in 2012 and 2013, Marketing Committee in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and Election Team Committee in 2009, 2010 and 2011. She served on the Real Estate Association of New Mexico (RANM) Board of Directors in 2012. As a member of Women's Council of Realtors (WCR), Caroline is a founding member of the Santa Fe Chapter and served as president in 2006, as Fundraising Chair in 2007 and 2008, and on the Holiday Gala Committee from 2005 to the present. She has contributed to the Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) to protect home ownership rights at the Sterling R level since 2008. Caroline was named Realtor of the Year by the Santa Fe Association of Realtors for 2010. Committed to charity work, Caroline is a member of The Junior League of Houston, has volunteered with March of Dimes, Cystis Fribrosis and was instrumental in forming the Galveston affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. She served on the Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity Women's Build Committee, and is a founding member of and has been the chairperson of the annual Kentucky Derby Day Event since its inception in 2004. She gives to many Santa Fe charities including Southwest CARE Center, FACT, the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society, Esperanza Shelter and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Mexico. Caroline is devoted to the community of Santa Fe, her partner, Jeff Thomas, and her rescued four-legged native New Mexicans, Emma Amelia and Thaddeus. Areas of expertise include discerning buyers, distinctive homes and premier residential building sites. She loves to experience the spectacular beauty of her city and feels blessed to live here. The variety of cultural and outdoor activities, the diversity of the populace, the strong community spirit and the deep friendships she has made keep her here.
