We finally bought our first house. But it was a long road to get here. We started looking for houses in earnest last summer (2017). We met with Shane Gibson from Millican Realty and gave him a brief description of what we were looking for in a house. Right away Shane had houses in mind. Over the next 10 months Shane showed us house after house with the patience and endurance of a marathoner. He learned our likes and dislikes, and could predict the features in each house that would catch our eyes. Working with Shane we never felt rushed, and never felt he was motivated by anything other than helping us find our perfect home.

Late in the search we also met Janet Lane. It was Janet who helped us navigate the final stages of buying our home. Like Shane, Janet was patient. She was always available to answer each cautious question we had. Janet walked us through what we needed to do concerning home inspections, making an offer and counter-offer on the house, insurance, and (her specialty) working with our lender.
