Kathleen is the best realtor that we could have asked for. She did an amazing job in helping us find a home in Portland. We were house-hunting during the frenzy of houses selling super quickly well above asking price (i.e. a definite sellers market). She arranged for us to see a really good number of homes and was with us along the way. She was knowledgeable about what needed to be up to code and would point out details that werent always obvious to potential buyers. Even with our own Zillow hunting, she ended up finding us the right house (based on running her own reports) that worked with our budget and what we were looking for. All of this was done with us not initially living in Portland and needing to come in every few weeks to house-hunt.
The testament to her going above-and-beyond for her clients was that Kathleen was also really helpful even after we closed (and after her obligations as a realtor were completed). She helped arrange and/or was physically present to facilitate our inspection, roofing, window treatments, fencing, and landscaping. We were able to make the necessary changes and have our home be move-in ready thanks to her.
Anecdotes aside, she was what we were looking for in a realtor in that she was available and responsive while also being a genuine person. She was honest with us when she didnt think that a house would be a good fit or when she thought that a price quote we received for home repairs was not reasonable. There are a lot of realtors and real estate agents out there that arent necessarily looking out for your best interests and I have to say that Kathleen exemplifies what realtors and real estate agents should strive to be like. 2022
Kathleen and her team did a WONDERFUL job selling both of the houses we had for sale. She was able to get us a GREAT price and quick and efficient with both transactions. She did price one of the houses to low, but in the end we were able to get an AMAZING price for the house. I have worked with Kathleen on 7 transactions now, and simply put, she's the best. She is always responsive, knows the market, negotiates to get you the best price on your sale and your buy and will make deals happen. What impresses me the most about Kathleen, however, is all the extras. She will go out of her way to make moving not stressful, whether that's bringing in extras and staging your house, having a mover or cleaner or handyman on call, you name it, she's there.
