When my husband and I decided to buy a house, there was no question that Jim would be our agent. I had known Jim from a previous career, and I respected him. He helped us find the perfect house, and then walked us through the process, remaining calm even when it seemed like the deal would fall through at the last minute. His expertise helped get the deal back on track. Years later, after being transferred for work, my husband and I asked Jims advice about whether we were better off continuing to rent it out or to sell it. He laid out our options objectively with our best interests in mind. His advice was not to sell, even though that would mean no commission for him. He only considered our interests, not his. As it turned out, we moved out of the area after another job transfer and faced selling the house from hundreds of miles away. Jim advised us about what to do and not to do to get the house ready to sell, and then since we were no longer in the area, he handled it all. He has relationships with contractors who do great work and are reasonably priced, making it even easier for us. He personally made sure the work got done well and on time when we were overwhelmed by the move to a new state. I am (was!) a first-time home buyer and contacted Jim at the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed!
