I fully regret choosing Lana Schinnerer as my seller's agent. She repeatedly gaslighted me and only did the bare minimum to get my house sold. Getting information from her about any process in my home sale was like pulling teeth. She would answer direct questions as vaguely as possible. Heres an example about an upcoming appraisal: Her Is 1pm good for you to be out of the house for a few hours. Me: A few hours? Can you narrow a range down?. Her: It normally takes a few hours. Me: What is the range of a few hours? That could be 2, 5, 10?. Her finally: I would say expect from 1pm-3pm. Every question felt like this, pulling teeth to get her to be specific and detailed. It was incredibly frustrating. If I didnt ask a specific question about the sales process then I wasnt going to be informed about anything. When I told her that I didnt want to have play investigator with her in order to be kept informed about the process, she started playing the victim and gaslighting me. She also weirdly responds to text messages with emails? It leads to a lot of delayed communications and is just counterproductive in my opinion. Sometimes it takes her a minimum of 6 hours to respond to basic questions about the sales process, and when she does respond she spends the majority of it asking nosy, intrusive personal questions that have nothing to with the sales process and are only designed to satisfy her inappropriate curiosity. She got my house sold for 5k UNDER asking (in a hot seller's market) while doing the absolute bare minimum. Her negotiation skills were nonexistent, she lacked any and all drive to get a good price or even full asking price, and advocate for me the seller. Her laissez faire attitude and in her words that she "usually lets them come to her" was surprising but my house did sell so there's that. My experience with her was just one big wtf?!. In my personal experience I found her to be a lazy, nosy, gaslighter. She offered no guidance, minimal strategy, and just property pictures and her face on a post outside my house. If I weren't under pressure to sell due to my move out of state, I would have negotiated a termination of the listing contract. Overall I didn't have a positive experience working with her and would absolutely NOT recommend.
