We had a terrible experience with Melissa Clayton. We were selling a home fsbo and she tried to make us pay for closing costs and repairs we did not agree to. We had to hire an attorney to prove we didn't agree to those terms 5 weeks later and a few thousand in attorney fees they agreed to close under the original terms we agreed to. Melissa paid for the repairs and closing costs for the buyers so they could still qualify because she messed up the contract so badly. We will be filing a lawsuit for damages. If you deal with her- make sure you have an attorney review everything and make her spell EVERYTHING out clearly so she can't leave anything open to her interpretation. 2022

Melissa was always available to handle whatever challenge presented itself, and there were many. Our purchase began as a for-sale-by-owner but digressed to a legal battle as the sellers signed documents without reading or understanding them. Melissa was a voice of reason for my wife and I, as we eventually conceded to cover over $10,000. in extra costs and repairs that the sellers claimed they did not agree to, despite signing all documents. We even paid for two months of the sellers mortgage to close the transaction. We would not have been able to purchase our home had it not been for Melissa's knowledge, expertise, and professionalism.
