Wesley, a buyer from Winter Garden, FL
A rental property recently became available in my area of Winter Garden, FL. We saw the listing within hours of it going live and we immediately reached out to ask to set up a showing as well as send in an application. We heard back from a representative at Remax that was helpful and promised to do their best at helping us with this application as well as set up a showing. Myself & the representative both reached out to Todd & his associate Matt, and we received no answer for several days after several emails, calls, and texts. Matt finally answered and said we could email our financial documents as part of the application, but mentioned there wouldn't be the option of a cosigner. We thought this was abnormal, but from what we understand it isn't something we could argue and continued to email our documents. More time passed with limited communication and we heard back almost 24 hours later with a no. Our representative at Remax got us a showing, and we filed another application according to the instructions given to the Remax agent with another person on the lease. Around 20 hours later, we received a message from our Remax agent saying the broker wouldn't accept out of state income and that according to their directions we needed to pay the application fee through Zelle instead of money order, despite money order being listed on their instructions as an option. Overall, the entire process has been frustrating and unrewarding. The turnaround time on information is horrendous, the lack of cosigners is confusing and the denial of out-of-state income is alarming. Our representative at Remax also stated that there was something suspicious about this process, and that these "rules" weren't normal practice, especially not accepting money order despite it being listed on their application instructions that were emailed to our agent at Remax.
