Based on previous experience, I knew Kevin was an amazing agent. After experiencing complications with the sale of this house due to the actions of the buyer's agent, it highlighted the value that Kevin adds to the process. While many realtors focus on taking selfies, Kevin's focus is on representing his clients to the best of his abilities. A few examples of from this experience was Kevin communicating directly with the buyer's lender to receive updates when the buyer's agent wouldn't respond or provide updates, following up with other parties to ensure they were completing their required steps when things were stalled, and provided honest and realistic updates.

I contacted Kevin Anderson a few years ago when we considered buying in Saugatuck, MI. We made a trip into town and Kevin showed us houses we had chosen - we even put an offer in on a house then, but timing was not right. Kevin stuck by us for another year and I communicated with him using the internet search program he set up for us and mainly by email (we live in NJ) as our focus changed to Grand Rapids. I would HIGHLY recommend Kevin to anyone looking to buy in the western Michigan area. I have bought homes in the past and my experience with brokers is that they do not really do much. Kevin is the opposite of this. I have never had a broker who was so knowledgeable of the market, of home construction, and who went the extra mile. If he didn't know something, he found out. While we looked online for a year before we flew in to GR for 2 weeks to actually look & buy. Kevin had everything ready to make it possible for us to find a wonderful home, go into contract, and have the inspection before we had to fly back to NJ. He stayed on top of all the inspection and closing issues while we were gone and made it all happen. Could not have done it without him. Cannot recommend him highly enough.
Kevin clearly explained all aspects of the process so that nothing was a surprise. Very detailed. (latest example - he mailed me the keys and they were 'smart keys' that I was not familiar with. He told me he had just watched the video on how they work and I should watch it and it was pretty simple.) We were always in communication about all the details and loose ends. He reminded me about utilities and lawn mowing, etc. He looked at the houses we saw with the same level of detail I did and pointed out the good and bad. He went head to head with the seller as the seller could not justify his asking price and Kevin dug and dug until we were satisfied that the price we offered was reasonable. I am satisfied.

Kevin explained things when we didn't know something and at no point did I feel lost or worried because of his guidance. The highest praise I think I can give to Kevin Anderson is to say that if I buy another house, I will contact him to be my realtor. One last thing. Kevin followed up with me a little while after we bought the house to see how things were going. When he found out of an issue we were having that should have been completed by the prior home owners he assisted with getting the issue resolved without me asking.
