We relocated from Ohio to Florida and all my husband and I can say is that Melanie was truly God-sent. Melanie worked hard to help us land a home, purchased sight unseen. Since we were out-of-state for the entire process, she was our "boots on the ground". She proactively sent us homes that meet our criteria and had tours scheduled for us within only a few hours of us reaching out to her. She responded within minutes of any calls or texts weve sent. Having lived in Orlando most of her life, she showed herself to be knowledgeable about the area through the information she was been able to provide us with. It was a long process in this shifting market of extremely low inventory. Through her patience with us and never making our search feel burdensome in any way we found our next home! It took us 4 months; evaluating what was probably 100+ listings; and 18 separate FaceTime tours in addition to the videos she would send us which included her driving inside and nearby of the neighborhoods that we were considering.
Our first (and only) meeting with Melanie from 9:00am to 6:45pm on a Friday was a lifesaver. She drove us from Eustis, Mount Dora, Sorrento, to Longwood, Lake Mary, and Oviedo. We got to see the school our son would attend and what the neighborhoods around the school look like and where we would want to actually focus our search based on the feedbacks we would be giving her throughout the day of what we liked that we saw. Melanie is friendly, pleasant, and a go-getter. We were able to leave Orlando with a much more narrow and targeted search area and feeling confident to place an offer on a home when one popped up in one of the neighborhoods we got to see for ourselves.
She arrived at our hotel at 8:30am. We saw her sitting in the lobby as we walked by on our way back to our room from having breakfast. She was professionally dressed with her work name tag, and prepared with a folder for herself and one for us which contained all our information and print-outs of our e-mails, with copies for us of the itinerary for the day and how each location met our initial requests.
Melanie respected our time in having sent her detailed information about our search, and actually read and used it. She started working on our request from the moment she received an e-mail from me and maintained constant contact with us. We knew the time and manner we were to meet days before our arrival which gave us confidence the day we departed Dayton to know that someone was on-track in Orlando to meet with us. She also respected our time in being there by arriving on time and filling our entire day with a thorough community tour, just as we had expected.
Relocations tend to be highly stressful on a family and we are grateful to say that Melanie took away a lot of that stress from us as we could tell that she was treating our home search and purchase process as if she were doing so for her own family. As humans we only tend to take the time to leave reviews when we are unsatisfied with a service, but given the vast contrasts of service levels I have encountered during our current and past relocation processes sharing a bit of our journey with you was the least we could do as highly satisfied clients. Melanie is AMAZING! She helped us find a home when we moved from Utah to Florida. She was always there for us, patient with all the questions we asked, flexible with our schedule (two hour time difference), knowledgeable in the guidance and recommendations to help us navigate the purchase of a home from the other side of the country. Even after we closed and moved to Florida she was still checking in to see that we were settling in, reminding us about important homestead deadlines, utility info, things to do, etc. She goes above and beyond! Melanie helped my wife and I buy a house, and it was apparent from the start she did her research and knew her stuff. She came highly recommended from a trusted source and boy, did she deliver. She is confident, ready to answer questions, eager to share her knowledge, and willing to educate, to help make the best buying decisions. What I think I liked best was, that after the sale was made, she could have stepped back a bit, but she was there for every step of the process, making sure the builder kept moving forward and that we were always informed and happy with the progress.
