Victoria was able to direct us to a house matching our unusual requirements and gave us excellent bidding advice and helped us steer through the unfamiliar (to us) purchasing process helping us avoid many serious problems along the way. This included invaluable guidance on those aspects of inspection and transfer of services which rightfully belonged in our responsibility. Those issues that did arise, she handled with a dedication to duty well beyond what could normally be expected. At all times, her professionalism was exemplary, even when dealing with a sellers agent who was anything except professional. This work was carried out with a personal friendliness and empathy that makes us hope that we will maintain contact beyond this business relationship. From start to finish Victoria Mack was the consummate professional. She allowed me to make up my mind without any added pressure. I felt confident with her as my agent. She was knowledgeable. All questions that I had, she was able to provide helpful answers. I would definitely use her services again.
Now that I am reflecting on my home purchase three months in, I can see clearly now that choosing VM as an agent was a mistake. Victoria is a nice and professional person, however, her ability to negotiate and advocate for her clients is subpar and has me questioning how she was able to practice real estate for so long. Victoria got me to the closing table but she did not ensure that the seller had completed all of their contracted tasks and repairs on the home. Buyer and seller have no direct contact with one another before closing, so this responsibility fell solely on VM. She did not come through! At closing, my home had no working heat, a hole in the siding, no working gas, no dryer, no hot water, and unsecured windows in the basement. All of these items were laid out in the inspection and contract. Victori was supposed to communicate with the seller's agent to ensure contracted measures were complete. Most of these issues I have had to remedy on my own or in connection with the seller. I am not a real estate agent. What was the purpose of Victoria's existence?
Over the past three months, I have had four close friends buy or sell a home in the Greater Philly region- I have not recommended Victoria to any of them, and will not in the future. That pretty much sums up my experience and rating of my service with VM. 2022
Since I am a remote seller, Victoria was my person to handle all details with the home. She was engaged, professional and always available. If I had another home is Philly I would use her again. 2019
