Use caution when dealing with this person. When selling our home, we clearly identified in writing that the buyer was to pay all closing costs. However, when we closed we found nearly $2,700 of additional charges added to our cost. This came as a surprise since we had a written document with our costs for taxes identified...along with my clear written instructions "buyer pays all closing costs". In addition, Joe Ebert in my opinion did not represent us in a ethical manner. He knew the buyer was acting as his own agent. This allowed the buyer to take commission which was not discussed until after we dropped our price ultimately giving the buyer a better deal than his own customer he represented. A formal complaint with the BBB will be filed along with Remax. Legal action is under consideration. 2023
