Few things are more nerve-wracking than living in California and purchasing a new home in Maryland. On a business trip to Maryland, I met Carol looking at open houses to get a feel for the market. The house she was representing wasn't a good fit for me but one of the others stuck with me. After a video walk through with my wife when I returned home, I decided I wanted to make an offer and needed an agent. I reached out to Carol on a weekend asking if she would represent me.

Within the next couple of hours, late on a Sunday, she and Linda had researched the property, looked at comparable properties, determined a reasonable offer price, and the next day, arranged to go see it themselves. I agreed with their thinking and she helped me through the whole negotiation process coming to an agreement I was entirely happy with.

Of course, the story doesn't end with an accepted offer, and Carol helped my though the myriad inspections, negotiated remediation and kept me in the loop at all times. Her knowledge of the process and the various companies we needed to call in to get this done was essential -- remember all this happened while I was out in California! She not only patiently taught me about the process, but I learned about wells, septic systems and other issues I'd never had to deal with.

And, amazingly, she made me feel comfortable through the whole process.

At the end, the final congratulations email was the 66th I had received from Carol during the 7 week journey. That doesn't count the ones I got from Linda -- they work as a team.

I can't imagine having someone who could have handled this transaction as well. I would certainly recommend her to someone relocating, but frankly even if you are just moving across town you couldn't do better.
