Tony was the seller's realtor while I was buying a house and was honestly terrible to work with. While I fully recognize that did not work for me and instead, he worked for the sellers, he was awful in multiple ways. After the latest frustration, I decided to leave this review.

He failed to respond for long periods of time during negotiations, treated myself and my realtor like we were stupid (I think it's because we are both women but who knows), and lied about certain things throughout the buying process.

To start, he directly lied to us about an electrical panel not working prior to us putting in an offer. He described it as "nothing more than wall art." There was a 2nd panel in the garage and this panel in the house was a Federal Pacific so it was believable that the panel had already been updated but we were no longer at the house when we got this information to verify this. Following my offer being accepted, we learned he had directly lied about that panel not being functional. Once we realized he had lied about this, he then tried to backtrack and tell us that it was still a safe panel since it wasn't the primary panel for the house (it was a federal pacific panel). It felt like since I'm a woman and my realtor was a woman he thought we knew nothing and therefore would believe this lie. Or maybe it had nothing to do with us being women and he was just misinformed about the safety of a functioning subpanel.

My latest frustration came from a wood rot situation with my house. When negotiating on the terms of my offer for my house, he didn't like the estimate I got for a particular task- fixing the wood rot and replacing the windows in a room that has 9 storm windows of poor quality as noted on the inspection (he did make valid points regarding this portion of the negotiation so I was open to negotiating). He requested to use his own contractor to give an estimate. I was ok with this and the estimate the guy gave for fixing wood rot was $350 and in the description, this is for 5 windows base trim with the agreement that I would worry about replacing the windows myself. I was agreeable to the sellers paying to fix the wood rot and I would replace the windows on my own. I have since reached out to this particular contractor to see about starting the process to fix the wood rot and he told me that he has never been to my property and was told it was only the base trim that needed to be replaced. The estimate given was based on what Tony told this contractor rather than the contractor coming out to assess the wood himself despite us being told he was having the contractor come out to assess the wood rot situation himself. The wood rot surrounds most, if not all, of the 9 windows and is actually looking like it will cost $350 per window to fix.

While I will say he probably saved the sellers some money, he was absolutely awful towards my own realtor and either lied throughout various parts of the selling of the home or was truly not as knowledgeable as he thought he was.
