Rick Binkley is a consummate professional and we deeply appreciate all of the effort that he gave our house search. From the first day that we met Rick, he was prepared with neighborhood market research so that we could make the best possible decision on purchasing a home (he even brought it in a fancy binder chalk full of information). Our house search took over five months to complete, and he showed the same respect and patience whether we were looking at the second house or the sixth. Each time he showed us a home, he brought with him an arsenal of market, neighborhood and home specific information; these added touches (often on super short notice) illustrated how much he cared about our finding the right home. Along with this information, he brought his informed opinionnever overtly selling us on a particular house, rather he would listen to our myriad of questions and return with thoughtful answers that would help us advance our search. When we (thankfully) found the home that we had been looking for, Rick helped to negotiate the best price and encouraged the sellers to make much needed repairs before we signed on the dotted line. He made informed suggestions on improvements that we could make immediately to add value to our home on day one as well as setting up appointments for qualified professionals to bid on projects that we could not do ourselves. Rick helped us selling our house. From the moment we met, we knew he was the right person to work with. He is knowledgeable about the market, and also calm to listen and answer our questions. He helped us to prepare our house before listing it. He is great in identifying things what the potential buyer would look in their new home. He recommended us to only invest on upgrades that would return the investment, and helped us identify them. With his help, we got an offer on the 2nd day of listing, and were able to close on time.

It took us three years to find a new house. The journey included bidding for several houses and being outbid, signing a contract to buy a FSBO but it not working out, signing a contract to buy a house but the inspections necessitated terminating the contract, and preparing several offers but not actually making the offer. Rick did a great job getting us familiar with the process of buying a home starting from our initial meeting. As first-time home buyers, we were unfamiliar with the situation and that made us nervous, but Rick did a fantastic job of making us feel comfortable during the whole thing. He was detailed oriented, starting with our introduction to home buying packet, but he also knew when to step back from those details to give a broader view of what was going on.
