I could go on and on but I don't want to others the misunderstand how much I appreciated Katie's amazing efforts. I had a challenging time with my house through the previous real estate organization in the Tidewater area. I had sleepless nights in Oklahoma because of what they allowed a previous renter to do to my house that caused more than $30,000.00 damage and they would not spend a penny in support to fixing it when it was obvious they did not represent the requirements of our property management contract. I had more challenges with their sales agents in their being dysfunctional and providing excuses rather than solutions in order to not being able to sell my home for too many years. It was a hard lesson for me but why should it have been that way?

I have purchased and sold 5 homes over 20 years in several states. I have used over 10 real estate agents. I fired two prior to hiring Katie. I must say that Katie is by far the best realator I have ever worked with. She is honest, knowledgeable, dedicated, and truly cares about the customer. The vast majority of realtors care about the listing and that is all because they will make money just for the listing. Words alone will never express my grattitide to Katie. I will always tell me friends about her and if I am ever in the market to sell or purchase she is the only person I will trust. Too many realtors are like car sales people but not Katie!

I typically do not write reviews and if I do, they are not in great detail. I want to share a review on Katie Sylstra because there are too many realtors who really do not take their job seriously or do not care about their clients. Katie is head and shoulders above any realtor I have met or dealt with and I want to share so you can receive the same treatment and service that I have received from Katie. About two and half years ago we decided to put our house on the market. We went through two realtors who made all kinds of promises but did not deliver. All they cared about was getting the listing. They figured someone else would sell the house and they would still get a commission as a listing agent. We met Katie and decided to give her an opportunity; however, we were hesitant due to the poor experiences we had in the past. Katie understood that we were uncertain, but she was patient, not pushy, and did not make promises she could not deliver. When we finally decided to list the house, Katie was there to help us every step of the way. She offered suggestions to help the house show better and she also let us borrow some of her personal belongings for staging purposes. After 10 days we received an offer on the house. Unfortunately, due to some reasons we had to take the house off the market and could not accept the offer. When we explained this to Katie, she was more than understanding even though she had spent time and money on listing our home. This was an example of what separated Katie from most other realtors because our experience was that other realtors would have been upset, but not Katie! Katie continued to stay in touch with us but not in a pushy way at all. She would send us cards periodically and on holidays. We contacted Katie in March 2019 and informed her we were ready to list our house again as well as help me find a house to purchase and my wife since we were separating. We listed our home in April 2019 and had an offer at full asking price in five days! Katie was more than patient with me when we looked at houses. We visited over 20 homes and not once did Katie get upset or impatient with me. She was always supportive. Since I was purchasing this house on my own, I asked Katie to provide me her opinion on the houses so I would get another perspective. Katies words were valuable to me since she thought of things that would have never crossed my mind. Katies knowledge exceeds that of most other realtors. Since my wife and I were separating Katie did an excellent job maintaining complete confidentiality. It was refreshing that Katie was professional to respect our unique situation by maintaining a level of trust yet still delivering excellent service to both of us. In the past twenty years I have used over 10 realtors to either sell or purchase homes in several states and hands down Katie Sylstra is the best! She truly cares about each and everyone of her clients and will go the extra mile to make sure a house sells, or a client finds their dream home! Another key difference between Katie and most other realtors is that Katie is genuine. She treats you like you are her only customer and not a number. In my book, people must earn my trust and Katie has definitely earned mine not by words but by her actions! Katie Sylstra consistently demonstrates superior knowledge, skills and abilities which reflect credit upon herself and set the standards for which all realtors across the country should follow! Katie went above and beyond our expectations and we now know why she was recommended by my wifes co-workers. From start to finish Katie had a great attitude and was always available to answer the many questions we had about the home buying process. We received more for our home than we ever thought possible! She advised about what repairs and improvements we should make long before we ever put the house on the market.
